Why Do Fathers Need Diapers?
Access to diapers is a basic need for families with young children, yet 1 in 2 U.S. families struggles to afford enough diapers, according to the National Diaper Bank Network. Babies can use 6–12 diapers per day, and without enough, parents are forced to stretch supplies—leading to health risks like diaper rash and infections. Diaper need is also linked to increased stress and can prevent parents from attending work or childcare programs that require parents to provide diapers. Ensuring families have enough diapers supports child health, parental well-being, and economic stability.

IMPACT Expo Keynote Speakers
Founders of Fathers First Memphis
Antonio Harvey and Jonathan Humphrey are veteran education leaders and community advocates with a combined 35+ years of experience serving students, families, and schools across Memphis. Both have held a wide range of roles including classroom educators, instructional leaders, and school administrators, and have dedicated their careers to improving outcomes for children through strong leadership, equity-driven practices, and community engagement.
As alumni of the New Leaders leadership development programs, Antonio and Jonathan bring deep expertise in school transformation, teacher development, and systems-level change. Antonio and Jonathan have both led schools as principals and Antonio currently serves as Principal at Hawkins Mill Elementary, while Jonathan works as an education consultant specializing in leadership development, organizational structure, and workforce development. Together, their work spans instructional excellence, family engagement, and student-centered reform.
Antonio and Jonathan are co-founders of Fathers First, a nonprofit organization committed to cultivating nurturing, engaged fathers who strengthen families and positively impact their children’s lives. Their shared mission is rooted in the belief that strong fathers, high expectations, and equitable access to opportunity can change life trajectories for children, especially boys of color.
