The 1K Father Campaign is a movement led by Fathers First to raise awareness and take action against inequitable child custody laws. Our goal is to mobilize 1,000 fathers and supporters to advocate for legislative change so that all qualified fathers begin with equal 50/50 custody rights in family court.
This work is vital because far too often fathers are treated as financial contributors instead of equal parents, leaving children without consistent access to both parents. Research shows that children thrive when they have strong, ongoing relationships with both their mother and father. By ensuring that capable fathers start with equal custody, we are not only fighting for fairness in the legal system but also strengthening families and improving outcomes for children.
The Mission of Fathers First is to cultivate nurturing and engaged fathers that will meaningfully enhance the well-being of their children and their families.
